John Bunyan was a 17th Christian writer and preacher. Born in England in 1628, Bunyan had little education and was never formally trained as a preacher, yet today he is one of Christendom's most read authors. His best known work isThe Pilgrim's Progress, a Christian allegory published between 1678 and 1684. This work is often said to be the most widely read English-language book in history.
