Topic Explorer
WORDsearch was the
first Bible software to
offer topical indexes to its
works, and we’ve continued
to lead with refinement of
this valuable feature. Here
are some of the enhancements
in WORDsearch 8:

- Finds a
topic anywhere in a heading.
In prior versions, the
search term had to appear as
the first word in a topic
heading to be found. WORDsearch
8 can find it anywhere in
the heading, or with a quick
click, can go back to the
first-only mode. For
example, searching the topic
“soul” in WORDsearch
7 will find lots of entries
for “soul,” plus “soul
savers,” and “soul-winning”.
WORDsearch 8 will
find all those, plus “human
soul”, “lost souls”,
“renewed soul”, “saving
souls”, and many more.
- Previews
articles.
WORDsearch 8 shows
a list of matching topics
and presents the article in
a preview window as you
browse the matches. Prior
versions opened a new window
for each article you viewed.
This new mode will save you
time and keep your desktop
clear. You can still open a
new window on an article
with a single click, and you
can arrange the preview
window vertically or
horizontally for your
convenience.
- Taps topics
at key websites.
WORDsearch 8
applies your topical
searches to some of the best
secular topical resources
out on the Web, and brings
the results right into the
window with your personal
library. Currently this
includes Reference.com,
Encarta.com, and
Wikipedia.com. Bible verse
text will popup as you mouse
over valid verse references.
- Works with
collections so
you can control which
sources are checked—from
your library, your
documents, selected Internet
websites, and Community
Library.
